Influencia de la edad en la libido sexual de receladores vacunos enrebaños lecheros
Resumen
Se evaluó la influencia de la edad en la libido sexual de receladores vacunos en rebaños lecheros de la EmpresaPecuaria Triángulo 1 en Camagüey, Cuba. Desde 2007 hasta 2010 fueron examinados 140 receladores mestizosHolstein x Cebú, con un rango de edades de 13 a 75 meses. Se evaluó la libido como variable dependiente de la edadpor un modelo de regresión lineal. Se observó que la edad (39,76 ± 19,89 meses desviación típica) tuvo influenciasignificativa positiva sobre la libido sexual (6,59 puntos ± 1,75 desviación típica). Hubo incremento de la libido conla edad, lo que pudo deberse al orden social y a la experiencia de los receladores más adultos, aunque no se deberíandescartar para el uso aquellos animales con edades menores de 24 meses por su cercanía al mínimo de libido requeri-da para su labor, debido a que otros factores como la condición corporal, el manejo como recelador, el ambiente y el
grupo etario, deben ser analizados.
